Websites for electricians
Your contractor licence where people look for it, a tap to ring you when the power is out, and a page for each kind of job you want more of. From $500, and you see it first.
When somebody searches for an electrician they are usually in one of two moods. The lights have gone and they want whoever answers first, or they are planning something, a switchboard upgrade, solar, a renovation, and they are comparing three names over a few nights.
A good electrician's site serves both without making either wait. The emergency caller gets your number at the top of the screen. The planner gets proof you are licensed, the jobs you actually do, and enough detail to put you on the shortlist.
What actually matters
Five things an electrician's site has to get right
Your licence number, in plain sight
Electrical contracting is licensed in every state, and most require the contractor licence number in advertising, which includes your website. The exact rule depends on your state, so check with your regulator. Customers check for it either way.
Emergency work, separated out
If you take after hours calls, say so at the top with the number as a tap. If you do not, say that too. The worst result is a 2am caller who rings, gets voicemail, and leaves a review about it.
A page for each job you want more of
Switchboard upgrades, smoke alarms, EV chargers, solar and batteries, data and lighting. Each one is a different search. One page that lists them all ranks for none of them.
Real jobs, with real photos
A tidy switchboard before and after does more than any line of copy. Phone photos are fine. A stock photo of a smiling man with a multimeter is worse than nothing.
Domestic or commercial, said early
A strata manager and a homeowner want different things. Say which you do in the first screen so neither wastes a call.
Who this is for
The electrical businesses we build for
Sole trader sparkies, small contracting teams, solar and battery installers, data and comms, level 2 service providers, test and tag, and anyone who has been relying on a directory listing that charges monthly to show their own phone number.
Running a different trade as well? We also build for plumbers, builders and every other trade.
See one
Look before you talk to anyone
We keep a working trades layout you can open on your own phone. It is a made up business with a made up number, there so you can see how it reads rather than to pretend it is a client.
What it costs
Three prices, one payment, no monthly fee
$500, from a template
One of our proven layouts rebuilt with your photos, your words, your colours and your licence number. One to three days, two rounds of changes.
$1,000, full custom
Designed from scratch, with a page for each service you offer so each one can turn up on Google on its own, not just your business name.
$250, a fix
You already have a site and one thing is wrong with it: it breaks on a phone, takes ten seconds to load, or shows a "not secure" warning.
Nothing until it is live
You see a free mockup of your own site first and pay once, after it is live and you are happy. The domain goes in your name, not ours.
Fair questions
The things people ask
What does it cost?
A$500 from a template or A$1,000 for a full custom build, one payment, no monthly fee. A fix on a site you already have is A$250. You see a free mockup first and pay nothing until it is live.
Do I have to show my licence number on my website?
In most states an electrical contractor must show the licence number in advertising, and a website counts as advertising. The rules differ between states, so check with your own regulator. We build a place for it regardless, because customers look for it.
Should I have a separate page for EV chargers and solar?
If you want that work, yes. People search for each service separately, and a page that is only about EV charger installs has a much better chance of showing up for that search than one line on a services list.
Do I need a website if I get my work through builders?
Builders check you out too, and so does every homeowner a builder recommends you to. A site is where that recommendation lands. It does not replace the referral, it catches it.

See your site before you buy it
Tell us the business name, the work you want more of and the suburbs you cover. We build a mockup of your own site and send it over. If you do not like it, it has cost you nothing.
