How it works

Twenty minutes on the phone, or a message. What you do by hand, what goes wrong, what the spreadsheet looks like. You do not need to know what you want built. That part is ours.
- We scope it and quote it
A short written scope in plain words: what it will do, what it will not, and one price. If it is not worth building, we tell you that too and it has cost you nothing.
- We build, you use it
You get a working version early and use it on real jobs. Whatever annoys you gets fixed before we call it finished, because the point is that you actually use it.
- It goes live and you pay
Same as the websites. It runs, you are happy, one invoice. Nothing is due before that, and the price on the quote is the price you pay.

Fineline Systems Client build
A window and door fabrication business. We built the software that reads the architect's drawings and schedules every window and door on the job, and the dashboards the business runs on day to day. Internal systems are not public, so there is no link to click on this one, and we would rather tell you that than fake it.
Why there is only one here
Because one is what we have built so far, and it is real: a working tool a business relies on every week, not a mockup. We are not going to pad this page out with invented case studies. The next one on this page could be yours, and it gets the same treatment: built around how you actually work, and not finished until you are using it.

The things people ask
What does it cost?
It depends on the job, so each one is quoted after a free scoping chat. You get one written price before anything is built, and it does not move unless you change what is being built.
Do I need a website first?
No. Plenty of businesses have the website sorted and the back office in a mess. We do either, or both. The website prices are separate and stay fixed.
Who owns it?
You do. The code, the data, all of it, handed over on request. If you ever want somebody else to look after it, they can.
We already use Xero, Square, ServiceM8...
It stays. We build around what already works and replace only what is broken. A working system is not a migration waiting to happen.
What about running costs?
Most tools run on cheap or free hosting, and any ongoing cost is written into the quote so there are no surprises. A care plan is optional, month to month, and cancelling never costs you the tool.
Can I claim it on tax?
You get a proper tax invoice from a registered Australian business, and software the business runs on is generally deductible. Your accountant can tell you what it is worth in your situation.
